The township population as of the 2020 census was 50,431, making it the 14th most populous municipality in the state. The unincorporated community of Havertown lies wholly within Haverford Township. Haverford Township contains portions of the unincorporated communities of Haverford, Ardmore, and Wynnewood as well as the census designated places of Bryn Mawr and Drexel Hill. Haverford Township was founded in 1682 and incorporated in 1911.
Despite being under a home rule charter since 1977, it continues to operate under a Board of Commissioners divided into wards, as do "First Class" townships that are still under the Pennsylvania Township Code. It is a commuting suburb located due west of Philadelphia and is officially known as the Township of Haverford. Haverford is named after the town of Haverfordwest in Wales, United Kingdom. For the past 4 years, Linda has been a source of inspiration to us all and we will miss her dearly.Haverford Township is a home rule municipality township in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, United States. Additionally, we are proud to announce that she has received and accepted an invitation to tryout for the U-24 National Team this summer. Linda has also spent her past two summers on the Philadelphia Green Means Go and AMP rosters, respectively. After graduation, she then moved on to play with Danger, the University of Pittsburgh's women's team, where she captained for the 2015-2016 season and where she is currently finishing up her senior year. Linda was introduced to ultimate at Haverford High School where she played for the school’s girls team. Linda reminds us every day to always find excuses to be there instead of excuses not to. Every track workout and lifting session and practice is done with determination in her eyes and modesty in her heart. She is as well-rounded as they come – spirit, skill, and commitment. Whether she is getting layout d's, hucking it full-field, or congratulating an opponent on an incredible grab, we believe that Linda perfectly captures the essence deserving of this award.
